2012-02-04 - Well the first month of 2012 is gone and everyone is planning summer vacation. Well, I won't be in Newfoundland in August as I have things planned for August. Got a few older relatives I like to see this summer and one way or another I will get to visit them. Never know but I also want to get to Fishot Island for a visit!

2012-01-29 - Well, no words will ever replace the lost of a mother but my condolences goes out to the Power family as they gather to say good bye to a loving member of their family. Mrs. Rita Power, God blessed you for bring some beautiful friendly people into this world! Will be missed by all those that met you over the years and have to come to know you as a friend. RIP Rita and I'm sure you have been welcomed into the arms of those that have gone before you!

2012-01-15 - Well, Christmas come and gone but here are some pictures of the Conche School Christmas Concert for you to remember the good times. 2011-09-27 - Well the fall season is up on us and the colors here in Swan Hills have changed but hopefully get some pictures from Pat of the colors in Conche! 2011-09-16 - Well summer is fast coming to an end and hoping on a long fall but not likely! Mr Suz celebrated her 90th birthday in July. Happy Birthday and here are the pictures from Pat.

 

2011-09-06 - September already and looks like the last few weeks of summer maybe great but that could change any day. Here is a few pictures from Devon visit to Conche and thanks Devon.

 

2011-07-18 - Well, I was going to build a women slide show for all the mothers but like all things something went wrong. It's like asking for old pictures and told that there was none around, then facebook shows up and everyone seems to have found old pictures. Hopefully, this site does some good for Conche as it keeps me in contact with it and the people. Pat keeps it going and thanks to her as I would have dumped it but there are some who visit this site that I have some respect for and in keeping it going. One of these days will finish the one for the Mothers but my pictures are not unlimited as not all mothers living or dead I have pictures off.  Here are some pictures from Pat who visited Grandois and Croque on July 9th 2011 along with a few from Conche.

 

2011-07-18 - Going to go back to the old way of doing pictures unless you all like this way but one is easier and one takes a little time. Also, if you send me a picture it has to be 1024 by 768 minimum as I don't want any copied from facebook.

 

2011-07-03 - Tomorrow head back to work as the vacation comes to an end but it was a great vacation. Will post some pictures as I get some time this week.  While I was gone, Ralph Carroll & Anthony Power passed on from this world! He'd fished for his last fish, never again will he feel the cold Atlantic or the winds that howl! For now he is the wind, the water and the air but most of all he is part of our memories that will never go away! RIP

 

 

2011-06-16 - Well on Friday June 17th, 2011 I will be heading to the Yukon for another adventure, so this time I'm going to try and update where I'm located and going each day when near an Internet connection.

2011-06-06 - Well here are a few pictures looking back over the last few years! On June 17th 2011, I'm heading to the Yukon for a few weeks. I see many old pictures around about Conche on different sites and that is nice. Thanks to those that kept this site alive over the years and continue to send things from time to time! Especially my sister Pat, who takes the time to send me pictures!

2011-03-15 - Well, looks like I have a new plan and will see how things goes for the end of the month but looks like it's going to be a great summer! 2011-01-29 - Going back to 2004 April 4 was the launch of the Newfie Dream a boat belonging to Jerome Kearney! The boat was moved thru the town to the water for launch, along by the school & church. Likely not to be seen again for a long time in our town.
